Hello! It's J :)
And today I want to remind you about asking yourself one simple question:
What are you grateful for?
We all get those phases where we feel unhappy and just ungrateful.
As bad as it sounds, that is totally okay!
Still, you would want to overcome this feeling, so you go on Instagram and scroll until you feel anxious and unmotivated, don't you?
Well, I used to do this before I quit Instagram. But why?
Why, when there's actually a much better solution?
Yes, there is a better SOLUTION!
A gratitude log is the key.
Here is what you should do:
Everyday, before going to bed or after waking up, ask yourself what you are grateful for.
Write down 3 things or even more.
And keep that gratitude log
Not only the reflection itself will help you gain more positivity in your soul, but also keeping the log for when you are feeling low is a big bonus.
When you feel like you are balanced enough to stop that habit for a while, DO SO!
And when you feel like wanting to return to that habit then do that! There is no pressure.
Things you are grateful for can be your family to your favourite song or just a good meal or a stranger smiling at you, big or small, it doesn't matter.
What matters is your perspective!
You can also be grateful for actions you took.
There are no limits.
Some ideas out of my gratitude logs:
(I write them mostly in small notes, but big paragraphs are also good! See how you like it)
great lunch
rain
candles
good music
saying affirmations
being productive
being kind
no headaches
mystery movies
success
connecting with others
listening to THAT song that you NEEDED to listen to
recognizing how beautiful a place is (a street?)
a friend texts you and it makes you smile :)
a nice shower
sleeping well
>> and many many others.
Grab a notebook NOW and start responding to the question! Because:
"Gratitude turns what we have into enough"
"There are infinite reasons to be happy"
"A beautiful heart is a magnet for miracles"
I hope this cup was helpful for you <3
