"More smiling, less worrying. More blessed, less stressed"

said the author Roy T. Bennett.

We all are mostly stressed and we overthink every choice we make, although we know that this decreases our focusing skills.

That's why, I want to share with you this little guide of mine that will help you manage stress.

How to manage stress?

1. Meditate

A week ago, I've started meditating using this app called "Simple Habit" that guided me through meditating for 5 minutes each day!

This really made me feel calmer although meditating was just a tiny part of my day.

When you meditate, you feel yourself, you feel the present moment, you feel your thoughts that you let pass away just like clouds.

There are several meditation techniques you will get introduced to and all of this is for free (you have to pay for extra features).

Another app that I used to have is called "Balance".

You can also use YouTube meditation guides, but I personally prefer the apps.

2. Manage your time

because if you have everything done there's no need to worry.

This study technique often helps me be productive and finish some studying or homework. And here, you choose a specific time you must study for and the break time too.

These times work best for me:

  1. 25 minutes studying - 5 minutes break

  2. 30 minutes studying - 15 minutes break

  3. 40 minutes studying - 20 minutes break

Then you have to do this cycle of studying and having a break 4 times.

After a cycle ends you take a longer break :)

3.Schedule your sleep

Being stressed, tired or lacking of focus all is connected to you quality of sleep.

Sleep cycles:

Using this website will help you know when it is the right time to wake up.

Because you are going to feel much more energized, if you wake up after a whole cycle ends, instead of waking up in the middle of your sleep cycle.

Alarm:

We all make alarms for waking up, but why don't we make alarms to remind ourselves to go to bed as well?

That way you will go to bed every day at the same time making it a habit which will help you wake up at the same time everyday feeling more energized than before.

Caffeine:

I used to drink several cups of tea and coffee a day.

But then I still felt tired and sleepy.

This situation really increased, and I slept more than 12 h each day and still felt sleepy which made me look for ways to boost my energy and believe it or not, it was the caffeine.

So, I started drinking coffee only in the morning and this really helped, because I could sleep better at night and wake up without the headache, I used to have every day.

I have been doing this for 5 days now and I really recommend it to you.

4.Plan your breaks

Just as you plan your study sessions you should plan your breaks where you completely relax and do what makes you feel happy. Because as soon you have worked hard, you deserve to have some enjoyable time that you should always look forward to to boost your motivation.

And whenever you are too stressed, take a deep breath and think about what you are capable of! Because you are stronger than you think and you will get this work done!

I hope my tips helped you. Feel free to comment below your own ideas on how to manage stress and have an awesome day! :)
